Preface by piman, 2000.01.17:
As we all know, Stargazer wrote this as a joke over a year ago. However, it's survived 5 distribution changes, 9 reformats, 1 low-level format, a new HDD, and 2 box changes. Makes you wonder if there's something sinister behind it all... Oh yeah, I took the liberty of reformatting some of the HTML for this. Anyway, I think I'll start making sure this stays around for a while (of course, then I'll probably lose it).

Sure, we all know RHAD stands for Red Hat Advanced Development. But, under excruciating circumstances, I have come to believe there may be another option. One that would represent a true conspiracy, World Domination™, and the poisoning of the good Linux and MZX communities...

Red Hat/Autumn Dreams

Some sort of coalition

Yes, you heard me right. After a chat in IRC, I came to believe that RHAD stood for a greater evil -- the Red Hat/Autumn Dreams coalition. Think about it:

THE COALITION COULD BE PURE EVIL. When Autumn Dreams increases standards for Linux, they'll require more people to develop it -- creating evil bloatware! This makes Red Hat Linux more attractive to PHBs, causing a significant drop in the average IQ of the Linux community! Think of how badly that will reflect upon us!

Meanwhile, this will in turn cause MZX 2.7 to work only with Red Hat Linux. While that's fine for Kev, what about all the Slackware users? If we didn't have Slackware, we wouldn't have this box, or a classic distribution, or S.u.S.E! Oh, the horror!

What can you do? Plenty! Boycott the two companies! Write their headpersons! Complain about them in #megazeux! Unless this act of evil is stopped, the world could end!

Addendum by piman, 2000.01.16:
As we all know, AD is gone now, and with them, the threat of Red Hat's takeover. Likewise, this box no longer runs Slackware, but Debian. However, a new evil is upon us. Arctic Fusion, the bastard child of AD, has apparently infiltrated VA Linux Systems. Don't believe me? Look at e.themes.org, the top theme downloaded is arctic. Or that VA admits Debian is better, but still ships with Red Hat on their systems! Something's up... we're not quite sure what yet, but I'll report as news comes in. Stargazer is going through hell to stick with Red Hat and, as such, I believe he can no longer be trusted. They may have gotten to him.

... better yet, do nothing. This whole page is a joke. Don't take it seriously.
